Such athletes will usually stick to their hometown to hang onto their local fame that shrinks exponentially each day from their self-perceived historic career. Name recognition is almost nonexistant outside of their hometown as they were barely relevant during their peak for a sport that 99.999999999999999% of the world doesn't follow.
