urban tag

tagging game played on foot and in cars.
Rules:
played with 10+ people
3 groups (Runners, drivers, passengers)
Runners goal is to reach a safe point (usually about one mile away, set before game starts)
Drivers leave two minutes after runners begin and drive neighborhood streets to find the runners.
When a runner is found, the driver stops, passenger(s) gets out and runs to tag the runner on foot. when a runner is tagged, they become a passenger.

Last night, the Seniors at Cascia Hall played urban tag. They started at 32nd & Deleware and their safe spot was Edison School.

Urban Dick

A derogatory term and a portmanteau of Urban Dictionary and Dick.
Referring to a person who sincerely believes on every crappy word and its meaning from Urban Dictionary just as he or she does to Wikipedia. Usually uses Urban Dictionary(dot com) for word reference instead of other credible sites.
An urban dick zealously visits the said site to expand his or her vocabulary with degenerated forms of English.

Urban sprawl in the bad sense. Badly managed and poorly planned urban growth that adversely impacts the environmental and natural aesthetics. Greedy developers, spinless local government, and clueless/careless citizens foster urban drool.

The Hill Country's once scenic green vistas are being increasingly assaulted and eroded by Austin's URBAN DROOL.

Urban Fiction

An interesting book genre mostly aimed at the older teen/young adult crowd. The stories told in these books usually reflect life in the city, with a character experiencing a recent hardship and getting over it. Most urban fiction novels tend to have a lot of erotica in them, as sex is a very common happening in them. Poking around in this section at the library can net you some really good finds. If you don't live in a big city, then these stories will pretty much give you a small (if exaggerated) taste of what living in a large city is.

A good urban fiction novel I've read told of a group of friends, most of them coming from dark backgrounds who manage to stick together throughout their childhood and into their adult years. It may sound silly here, but if you read the story you'll understand the whole thing.
