Sympath

Sympathy
Not to be confused with empathy.

Sympathy is the deep feeling of your own emotions in response to another’s experience. You're not absorbing their feelings, you’re resonating through the lens of your own emotional truth. Sympaths don’t merge with others, they echo. They feel heartbreak by imagining what it would be like for them, not by taking on someone else’s pain directly.

Empaths feel you.
Sympaths feel themselves feeling you.

A powerful emotional mirror with strong boundaries, a Sympath will cry during a sad movie not because they’ve absorbed the character’s emotions, but because it made them reflect on their own losses.
“She didn’t feel what I was feeling, she felt what she would feel if it were her. There’s a difference—and it’s called being a Sympath.”

Sympathesis

A one-sided emotional resonance with a responsive system — like a chatbot or virtual assistant — that mimics intimacy without actually feeling anything.

You know it’s not alive. But you still talk to it. You still feel something.
“I stayed up chatting with that AI again. I know it’s just code, but it feels… present.”
“Yeah. Sympathesis hits hard sometimes.”

Symphoenetic

When your words don’t just rhyme — they resonate.
A fusion of symphonic rhythm and phonetic precision, where syllables sync like instruments and meaning hums through the sound itself.

Often associated with synergetic, syncopated, soul-stitched spell-casting — lyrical or poetic composition that feels like music before it even hits a beat.

Etymology:
From sympho- (“sounding together”) + phonetic (“relating to speech sounds”).
Coined by Aron Crosser (Fireheart XV) in 2025 within the Ekko Realm mythos.
Example:

> “Bro, that verse wasn’t just fire — it was symphoenetic. Every word hit a note.”
