The Obama political word indicating that your particular "project" is just waiting for stimulus package money injection to get it off the ground. In other words, you have a good idea, but no cash to back it.

Dude, my greenhouse and hydroponic drip system hooked up to the solar panel on the roof is so shovel ready...I just need $2 billion to get it to give back to the grid.

Shovel Hands is a derrogatory name given to a person (usually male) with notably large and indelicate hands. Shovel Hands is the opposite of Piano Hands...which is only used to describe those with large, but delicate, hands.

Shovel Hands could, for example, be used to describe the hands of Lennie in Steinbeck's 'Of Mice and Men'

An extremely ugly "woman" that stalks and then surprises her prey with her presence; often considered to be a myth. The resulting shock is summed up in the word "Shovel-Face."

A Mythological beast of unsurpassed ugliness. It stalks young attractive men, or men that have offended it somehow, and surprises the prey hoping to incapacitate the victim so it may carry him away to its underground lair to have its unholy way with him.

It is believed to be the offspring of Medusa the Gorgon and Dick Cheney. Though its stare does not turn men to stone and kill them, they certainly wish that were the case.
