It is referred to as "The Bubble" seeing that is conveniently surrounded by a highway/tollway/major road on every side and seems to be very "high in" compared to the outlying areas. Most Highland Park residents are stereotyped as Christian, Conservative and Wealthy which, the majority of the time, is true. Highland Park is relatively expensive compared to near by towns but is worth the money. Highland Park High School is one of the top ranked high schools in Texas and the city is overall very safe. Though many people find pleasure in bashing the "blonde barbies" that live here most people in HP already know that brunette is WAY sexier. ;)

Get the Highland Park mug.A small blue collar fishing town on the coast of NJ. This is a gem of a location, quite but hip. You can clearly see the NY skyline from the Highlands Elementary School. There are lots of nice places to eat and a commuter ferry to downtown and midtown NY. Sadly, Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc on the town, and many residents still struggle 2 years on to rebuild their homes.
It's a place that capitalism has managed to pass by and a genuine seaside town devoid of resort villa's and tourism.

Don't let stereotypes get you down, though. Highland for the most part is filled with kind and giving families who strive for success in their community. There are three different townships located in the Highland Area: Hinckley, Sharon, and Granger. Although it is in a rural area, the district is filled with various country clubs, parks, and of course the local Sheetz. If students are looking for a night out on the town, there are many malls, cinemas, and nice restaurants in the neighboring cities of Medina and Fairlawn.
At Highland, academic success is a dominant factor. The school is big on the Arts, particularly the choral program. Sports are also a great social activity. Highland is known for breeding great wrestlers. They also have a fairly good golf and tennis team, as well as a strong soccer program. The school recently started a Rugby team, and is hoping to start a Swim and Lacrosse team as well.
Although many outsiders see Highland as a school for Snobby, Rich, and Preppy people, you have to get to know us before you can judge.
