appeal to triviality

A logical fallacy where someone involved in an argument says the issue in question being argued over "doesn't really matter" in an attempt to shame their opponent into giving up so that their side can push their agenda unopposed.

This fallacy is easily countered by telling the person doing this argument to shut up and go away if they don't actually care.
Person 1: "Why do you care so much if the space marines in Warhammer 40,000 are female anyway? It's just toy soldiers, stop being such a whiny incel over nothing!"
Person 2: "Appeal to triviality. If you didn't actually care about this stuff then you wouldn't even argue about it in the first place."

Roblox Appeals

Roblox Appeals is used for attempting to get unbanned.
Roblox Appeals will very often falsely deny appeals and avoid what you are talking about.
Roblox Appeals show how much stupidity and incompetence Roblox has.

Appeal to normalcy

A weak evasion of the actual topic. The question isn't whether it normal for a 25 year old girl to sleep with 100 guys. It's whether or not it's ethical. And you either know that and are being avoidant because you're a soy-ass shit-lib who LITERALLY ISN'T ALLOWED to tell women what they ought or ought not do OR... OR... You're dumb as dog-shit. It's one or the other.
Hym "Appeal to normalcy is not an argument I would ever make there. Because I'm not a pussy social-centrist. Is it fine for a woman to fuck 100 dudes? Yes. Even better if she's discreet and takes cash. Why are you such a sissy? And where is your wife? Ex-wife. Where's you ex-wife? I saw her pick up a spider once and it was both gross and adorable."

Cult Appeal

The kind of appeal that whips up a frenzy within it's fan base and where the mainstream is largely unaware of it. Having a quality where fans find it extremely exciting to share their deep connection to the object of appeal with each other. It's possible for something with cult appeal to spread to the mainstream as long as there still is a strong contingent of fans that exhibit almost a cultlike zeal for the object of appeal.

Appeal to AI fallacy

Similar to the "appeal to authority fallacy," this occurs when an individual treats the output of an AI as absolute truth—rather than making their own argument—believing the AI to be a kind of deific superintelligence (perhaps more objective than any human authority). The information is accepted uncritically, without independent evaluation. This tendency is often observed among intellectually disengaged individuals online who are unable or unwilling to present a logically sound case of their own.
Tim: Presents a compelling case using his own reasoning.

Grug: “Oh yeah? Well, here’s what the AI said.” Posts erroneous AI output—likely without critically analyzing it.

Jon (onlooker): “There’s the appeal to AI fallacy again! Just because an AI made a claim, that doesn’t make it true—or even reasonable.”
