butter through

'butter through' implies the doing of something for a short period of time and often used when describing a task which one is not particularly fond of. Has the same root as butter(being on a roll)yet is polar to in the common negative usage of the phrase. To 'Roll Through'

"Let's just butter through this so we can go home."

walk-through

To pass trough a non-smoking area with a lit cigarette. What makes a walk-through different from just smoking in the house (or wherever) is that the person makes an effort to get to the next smoking area as quickly as possible. In addition, hitting the cigarette nullifies the walk-through and thus constitutes "smoking in the house."

Rob: Hey I'm going out back, is it ok if I walk-through?

Marty: Yeah, go for it.

{As Rob is executing his walk-through from the front porch to the backyard he encounters Morgan}

Morgan: Hi Rob! How's is going?

Rob (with cigarette raised): Not bad, but I can't talk. I'm doin a walk-trough.

where you pass a through ball through the middle of two defenders and a teammate collects the ball through them.

A drug dealer or hookup that is either bunk or doesn't deliver. a Fall-Through is the kind of guy that makes you wait 2 hours for a bag of weed, only to tell you he couldn't get it. A Fall-Through is the ultimate timewaster and ultimately, an asshole.

"Tony can't get weed, he's a fall-through"
