bullet catcher

Used to refer to members of the military. Usually refers to members of an infantry unit or any other high speed dangerious unit such as special forces. Most often used to describe members of the Army or Marines or members of other branches who endure a large number of casualties.
John: I've been thinking about joining the Army and hopefully going infantry.

Tom: Good Luck. I'd join with you but being a bullet catcher really isn't my thing.

Something that your future self will thank you for. Also: having successfully avoided a sticky situation.
When offering me the job, Criss Angel cut my salary request in half. Then he told me that he was doing ME a favor because working with him meant working with a celebrity and his "Magic Kids". Bahahahahah! Saying no to that was like dodging a bullet!

Bong Bullet

Short, Stubby Cannabis 'Joint' made exclusivley for use in a bong. The 'BULLET' mustbe placed in a tube with no gauze as when it is near fully burnt it will shoot through. Basically an improvised single-use bowl.

hollowpoint bullet

Bullets with a cavity in the tip to allow greater expansion and less penetration on impact with a target.

Usually identified as "cop-killer bullets," even though hollowpoints are actually less effective at penetrating body armor than standard ball rounds.
Homeowner: I use hollowpoint bullets in my home defense firearm so I don't risk injuring an innocent bystander.

Attaining a position with noteworthy speed.

Originates from Billboard Magazine's practice of putting a bullet sign in front of chart entries that have moved from one position to another with notable speed.
