1. When a person tells a very long but exciting story but "accidentally" forgets the point of his or her story at the climax, leaving his or her audience shocked and unsatisfied.

2. When a person "accidentally" drops his or her iPod in the toilet and kills it.

Person 1: I have to get a new iPod.

Person 2: Why? What happened to your old one?

Person 1: It fell in the toilet.
Person 2: Hahaha you pulled a Sarah! But don't worry, pulling a Sarah happens to everyone.

Pulled a Letterman

Banging as many co-workers as one possibly can and not paying 2 million bucks to cover it up. Comes from the October, 2009 David Letterman's scandal.

Jack: hey what do you think of the new interns?
Jim: I wouldn't be surprised if the boss Pulled a Letterman on them.

When I managed that Walmart a few years back, I totally Pulled a Letterman.

Pulling a Valerie

In the world of music, writing a song shortly before a performance (typically about an hour before) and then playing it, typically unfinished. Basically the ultimate form of musical procrastination in the form of last-minute songwriting. Named for a singer/songwriter named Valerie who frequents open mics in the Philadelphia area and developed this technique as her trademark.

The audience roared with applause when they realized the singer was pulling a Valerie.
