Secret Friend

A same or opposite-sex friend crush on someone you admire and want to befriend. This person possess qualities you look for in a friend. Although you've never officially met them, you consider them a future friend and will go to drastic measures to reach true friendship.

"Hey, Danielle. Where are you studying tonight?"

"Oh, hey Katie. I checked out facebook today, and my secret friend, James, works at Starbucks. I overheard him talking to a friend in lecture today saying he has to work tonight. I think I'm gonna hit up Starbucks later!"

"NIIIIICE. I can see your Secret Friendship really blossoming tonight. I'll go with you for moral support."

man-friend

A man who is somewhere between a friend and a boyfriend. This can be a temporary state from which he will eventually become a boyfriend or a permanent state of more than friendship. Even if you have only hooked up with him once, if you have crossed that line, he's a man-friend.

That guy you keep trying to convince people is not your boyfriend: he's your man-friend.

Asking for a friend

Usually people will say this when they’re asking for themselves but to embarrassed. Some people are actually asking for a friend when they say this but people still assume they’re talking about themselves.

Jennifer: is your cousin single? Asking for a friend.
Todd: do you like him?
Jennifer: no, I’m actually asking for a friend. I’m not gonna say who though.

you're fired

Sorry Donald. People have been using this phrase way before you even dreamed of having a show. It was fist used to fire someone from a job. This usage has dropped of though because saying "You're Fired" might spark emotion. Instead now HR people use the words terminated or released to let someone know they were "Let Go".

My friends have been using it forever when someone screws up and they are pissed.

Example 1)
Donald: You're Fired
Me: I'm sooo over this show

Example 2)
Me: Oops I forgot to grab the camera honey.
Honey: You're Fired. I'm going to find me a new boyfriend.
