Get the Sitting On A Rockmug. Popular rock music ca. 1985 to 1989 that includes crisp, crisp drum beats and usually a horn section. Easy to identify artists of this genre because one or more of them will be wearing a blazer and/or sporting a mullet.
Steve Winwood, "Roll With It", a perfect blazer rock album
Rod Stewart, "Infatuation" era
Robert Palmer, any of his stuff
Don Henley, "Dirty Laundry to "The End of the Innocence" (sometimes the blazer can be used to make the artist seem more serious)
Power Station
Genesis, which then spawns Peter Gabriel in all of his blazer glory

Get the blazer rockmug. a modern day "alternative" style of music usually performed by excessively dramatic lead singers and pseudo talented musicians. Common queef-rock characteristics are mediocre arrangements of pop music played with traditional rock instruments, and repetitious catchy choruses about nothing.
"Queef-rock" examples include performance "ARTISTS" such as Coldplay, Jonas Brothers and Kings of Leon.

Get the Queef-rockmug. Fairly new genre of pop music with a faux-metal edge that emerged following the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Music appears to be "hard rock" but is actually schmaltz. Appeals to homesick service members as well as male 20- and 30-somethings generally. Lyrics typically discuss unamed persons as being separated by great distances and express vague misgivings about unspecified moral issues.
