songception

A song within a song within a song or a song about a song about a song that leaves the audience wondering if what they heard was really a song. Sometimes songception is accompanied by a 20 minute music interlude, or limbo, in which the band just plays weird chords that makes the audience feel like they have been stuck in music limbo for about 50 years.

The band Cider Tease just performed songception, but wait, was that really a song?

Songjack

After singing a few lines of a song, someone within earshot takes over and sings the entire song louder, with greater enthusiasm, and sometimes with less talent.

I was singing a Beyonce song and got songjacked by my husband!

Songcycle is the phenomenon experienced when a person repeatedly thinks of a song or refrain of music, perhaps in spite of efforts not to think of the song or refrain of music. The person may find himself humming or singing the song or refrain of music without intending to.

I was heard only half of Misty Mountain Hop on the way in to work this morning, and now I'm stuck in a songcycle.
