politics of blame

The phenomenon where governments misdirect frustration and aggression, blaming the public for their own problems and failures instead of accepting responsibility.
The recent policies reflect a classic case of Politics of Blame, as the administration shifts the accountability for economic issues onto citizens rather than addressing systemic failures.

Reality Politics

When political hopefuls run their campaign as if they were starring on a reality TV show. Extremist remarks made by "celebriticians" (celebrity politicians) for the sole purpose of getting free publicity and increasing their ratings. A hybrid of reality TV and politics.
Wow... Donald Trump is engaging in some serious reality politics!

Can't wait to see if Donald Trump yells, "You're fired!" at Obama when he takes his Oath of Office next year... That would make for some great reality politics!

galactic politics

A term that men can use to refer to women in general, especially dating, courting, flirting, and the rules thereof. Originated (likely) with Star Wars fans.
"Hey, how are things going with Sarah?"
"There are too many girls here, I don't want to talk about galactic politics."

Legacy politics

Any of the following describes legacy politics.
1. A political system that favors high dollar donors over serving the people.
2. Politicians engaging in backroom deals designed to reap the most credit for any legislation regardless of the legislation's value to the people.
3. Using discussion stopping labels, such as 'racist', 'bigot' & 'misogynist' to "win" arguments.
4. Pandering to voters while doing little for them.
5. A political mindset that has been discredited by electing non-politicians
Speaker Ryan's Health Care Reform failed because he is stuck in legacy politics mode and the smarter politicians aren't playing along.
