This disorder is caused by the victim's temporary release from anxiety surrounding the fact that his or her essay is practically complete. Symptoms include uncontrollable procrastination and the sudden need to watch old commercials they used to love on youtube.
I only had one paragraph left on my essay when Mortimer Syndrome kicked in, and then I was up for another 2 hours watching Got Milk commercials.
