Alternative name for a local bar in Cannstatt, Germany. The word started to appear after people realiced that the "Strand" (beach) had no access to water (prerequisite for a beach).

Statstrology

Statstrology was originally coined by Greg Guevara in 2023. It is implicitly derived from the word "Astrology". It is used in reference to when a person interprets data and extracts dubious meaning from it, usually without solid/unironic basis or understanding of it (and/or the data itself is dubious). Essentially, looking at data and seeing what you want to see.

"Look, this guy just came to the conclusion that 85% of goats love carrot cake whilst observing the strong correlation between sea levels and how much money I have in my bank account. He must be really into Statstrology"

When you hit a bottleneck in a game so you do what you can to gain and make use every bit of stat you have just to get past a certain level.

The game got so hard that i had to resort to statsmaxxing to finally defeat the boss after countless failed attempts.

stats shark

An annoying person, usually a junior in high school, who asks an admit for a particular college for their stats (extracurriculars, essays, grades, etc.)

Reasoning behind it is that if they copy their profile, they will also get accepted, which is NOT true.

Person 1: I got into MIT and some bum online asked "Congrats! Can I see your ECs and essays?"
