I can see infants' not being expected to "keep it down" and behave/communicate constructively and in moderation, but once a child gets to be two or three years of age, it is logical to expect that his parents should have taught him at least a few squallternatives by that time!

shit squall

1.a) A shit squall is a sudden escalation of a difficult situation. This is usually associated with heated arguments that get physical, such as political debates with your cousins at Thanksgiving, drunken brawls, or overwhelming responsibilities that seem to pile on top of each other.

b) 'Squalls' usually refer to an increase in the sustained winds over a short time interval, as there may be higher gusts during a squall event.

2. 'Shit squall' can be used intermittently with the phrase, 'when the shit hits the fan.'

3. Can also imply that a situation will turn into a 'Free for all' or a brawl.

Logging onto Face Book is asking for a shit squall because, my cousin won't stop arguing with me about why he voted for Trump.

Finals week is nothing, but a shit squall.

I hate working Black Friday, it's always a shit squall.
