UMD is ranked #63 nationally; it is an all-around amazing school. From the great parties to the prestigious academics, making the school more selective each year, UMD has it all. The party life is also amazing, and their is tons of diversity and school spirit. Only one metro stop away from DC, University of Maryland College Park could not be in a better location. All in all, the University of Maryland is an amazing school in every aspect, and it gets more prestigious each year, while it remains affordable.

Get the University of Maryland mug.Redneckville. A small redneck town in southern Maryland where there is nothing to do but drink and/or go hunting. A town shared with Charles and St. Mary's County. A place where you have to share the roads with the amish and the tractors. The popular place to go in the middle of the night is WAWA, cause thats the only thing open. Everything else closes around 8 on the weekday. Everyone knows that in the summer you go to Bert's about once a week to get ice cream. Everyone has either lived or crashed at a house in Golden Beach. The local high school is known as Cow Pie High. The only thing we are popular for is the band Good Charlotte, and the local amish market open on Sautrdays and Wednesdays.

Much like The people's Republic of China, the Liberal law makers find ways to infringe on the rights of Marylanders that are guaranteed in the constitution. Much of the laws are remnants of slave laws where it was illegal for Blacks (even freed slaves) to own firearms.
Oddly enough Maryland is a Blue state, yet the people vote for leaders that don't trust them or do not protect their constitutional rights.

Get the People's Republic of Maryland mug.i live in maryland, so i know what im talking about. blue state bc of baltimore and pg county, but republican in the crazy rich counties. its not southern (except for in the very southern counties and the eastern shore). annapolis - a drinking town with a sailing problem. the annapolitan uniform is khaki pants, a navy blazer, and docksiders (no socks). middies are the dates du jour for all the high school girls in the annapolis area. all those middies running around downtown are a beautiful sight to see! most marylanders dont have an accent, except b-more (hun) and the eastern shore (m r ducks). bmore - truly ghetto but we love it anyways. yay for seafood! if you dont play lacrosse in elementary and high school, you might as well not live in maryland (especially in Anne Arundel County).
