Lunch Hostage

When someone doesn't believe that you actually have legit plans for lunch and holds you at bay until the other party contacts you and tells you that they are ready. This is done just to make sure that you're not ditching them.

I was going out to eat with the Missus and my Boos held me Lunch Hostage.

Video Hostage

when someone( specifically friends, family, coworkers) forces you to watch painfully unfunny or uninteresting videos .
A person who is forced to watch videos that either bore them to death or causes them to weep internally for how unfunny they are .

When someone is asked to watch a video that they know will be a waste of the next few minutes of their lives but they watch it anyway because they at least half-like the person.

My brother sat across me from me looking at something on his phone. He laughed boisterously. I jumped up and ran out of the room before I became his video hostage and was forced to watch people fall or get their balls smashed in.
