I take it you don't own any Chillies albums from before BSSM, and even that and Californication were HEAVILY influenced by rap music. To praise a rock band you don't have to insult rap, especially if that rock band would not exist without the influence of rap. Anyway, the Smashing Pumpkins are friggin' awesome, and they were on the Homerpalooza episode of The Simpsons.
