Ohio State ignorance

People who think Ohio State sucks, but are just blinded by the fact that their team sucks and Ohio State is consistently good, year in and year out. See also : jealousy Most likely a Michigan fan who is tired of being beaten every year. Also may refer to someone who is a fan of a team not participating in both the football and basketball championships in the same year.

Its fine to come out of the closet and admit you suffer from Ohio State Ignorance, it's not like you're gay or a dog fighting organizer.

indifferent ignorance

A state of near-total ignorance, especially regarding subjects concerning racism, politics, sexism or homophobia. Often a person suffering from indifferent ignorance is vaguely aware that they have not researched or considered their opinions, but they are not inclined to research or consider them.

A large amount of indifferent ignorance stems from the tabloid press, party political propaganda and agreeing with the views of the people by whom you were raised.

"This gentleman just waved 'The Daily Mail' in my face and told me that the EU is taking British jobs. Is that indifferent ignorance or what?"
Stephanie: "We don't need feminism in today's society!"
Jasmine: "That's quite a big expression of indifferent ignorance."

Religious ignorance

Someone who only has knowledge of their own religion (usually a form of Christianity) rather than the major ones: Islam, Jewism, Hinduism, Confucianism, Buddhism. Also: someone who has their eyes blinded to truth by religious ignorance (ie: dinosaurs could not have existed - they are not in the Bible)

Religious ignorance usually is concentrated in churches - how ironic.
