A group of collegues that send one helpless victim who does not have unlimited text messaging, 400 and some odd texts in a span of about 20 minutes.

After text bombing Ryan, who had 500 text messages, 499 texts saying,"Hope you don't run out of text messages this month...lol...muwhahaha." The day his new month started.

A patently lame excuse for bailing out of an appointment, sent via text message. The textcuse is usually terse, last minute, and only nominally apologetic.

Ghost Text

The unsent response text after you ask a person a question that they don't want to answer. You have been texting back and forth for a while then you ask a question that the person wants to avoid i.e. Wanna hang out?, What are you doing tonight? We should go get a drink... Do you like me? The ghost text is only official if the person either responds to the next question you ask (ignoring the original) or if they text you back the next day acting like they never received it.

Me: Hey what's up
Girl: Nothing, u?
Me: Nothing much just got off of work
Girl: Cool, how was your day?
Me: Good, I just want to get wasted.... What are you doing tonight?
Girl: (no response) <---Ghost Text
Me: So did you have a good week.
Girl: Yea, it was long though...

The Text Zone

When a guy/girl you are interested in texts you often, but once in person does not speak or pay nearly as much attention to you as they had while texting, you have been put in the Text Zone.
Similar to the Friend Zone, the Text Zone is specific to relationships where both parties are not often able to hang out, yet carry on keeping in touch via text message. The overall effect is that the person placed in the Text Zone waits in agony for the one they desire to see them as more than a texting buddy.

Girl 1: Hey, how was the beach trip with Carl?
Girl 2: Well, he texted me with the time and place to meet up and told me I was beautiful, but once we got together he didn't have much to say and seemed to pay more attention to the sandwich he had for lunch. He later texted me to tell me he had a nice time though.
Girl 1: Dude, he totally put you in the Text Zone.
Girl 2: Yeah, I know. :(

Aww man, I've been texting this girl for three weeks straight, but when we finally got to hang out, she text zoned me! I thought we had something special!
