The saying originated from Conan Gray’s song “Heather”, where he sings about watching the guy he likes be with some girl named Heather, and he says “ I wish I were Heather”. It’s like the DUFF of the friend group but the complete opposite. A Heather is the more pretty one, the more talented, the more smart, basically everyone wants to be Heather.
