Heathers

Heathers is a 1989 cult classic movie starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. Or an off-broadway musical released in 2014 starring Barrett Wilbert Weed and Ryan McCartan. While the movie and the musical share the same title, characters, and use the same major plot points they tell two somewhat different stories. The movie is rated R, and while they don't give movie ratings in theater the musical is essentially an R rated musical. DEFINITELY not for kids or people sensitive to severe bullying, cussing, murder, suicide, attempted suicide, sexual assault, sexual content, and gun violence. There is a TV show but the fandom doesn't really except it.

Heathers is one of my favorite musicals.

The name Heather refers to a song by Conan Gray. In the song, the person he has a crush on doesn’t like him back because they like Heather. He says that he wishes he were Heather because everybody always seems to like her. When someone says that you’re Heather, they mean that everybody can’t help but like you.
