Selective political pressure

A tactic employed by certain politicians and groups that want to push their political agendas where that group or politician will say and or do certain things related to supporting or opposing specific issues in order to get certain types of reactions from particular populations, interest groups, and or, in some cases, other politicians. They usually do this to get more votes from different populations in society, or to get more financial and or political support from particular interest groups.
Natasha: I heard Senator Murkowski recently gave a speech on how they supported efforts of oil companies to begin drilling in certain parts of Alaska. I’m not sure why she would give a speech like that when she supports moving the country towards using renewable energy sources to prevent climate change, which negatively impacts many populations in her state. I could cost her their support down the line.
Ronald: She maybe employing selective political pressure in order to get more support from certain oil companies and specific Native American communities by appearing to support an issue they care about.

Dragon Age 1 is about racism. The sub plot revolves the oppression of the elves by the humans.
Dragon Age 2 is about colonialism and religious zealotry. Kirkwall takes in the Qunari leader and he tries to take over the country because the fact that they don't adhere to the Qun disgusts him.
Dragon Age 3 is about class warfare. The conflict between the overclass (The Templars) and the underclass (The Mages)
Hym "Dragon Age is ALWAYS political. I don't know what Dragon Age 4 is about but I don't know why you would buy a game that is always political and then expect the points of contention of out modern politic to be absent from the game."

Polite shuffle

When you and another person come up to a path (like an intersection, a doorway, or a narrow hallway) where only one person can go, and you politely tell them to “go ahead” and they say “no, no, you go ahead” and then you both wait, and then go at the same time thinking that the other person will not concede, and you repeat this at least one more time.
Two drivers pull up to opposite sides of a 4-way stop at the same time. One is turning left, the other is going straight. The person going straight signals to left turn person to “go ahead”, while at the same time, the person turning left signals to the person going straight to “go ahead”. They signal back and forth and then wait, and eventually concede at the same time. They laugh and repeat the polite shuffle at least once more.

Political runaway

1: An individual who claims to support a particular political party, but they seldom support a majority of the actions that party performs and or the policies they implement
2: A person, usually a young adult, who moves away from their parents or guardians’ home, earlier than most people do, and rarely to never speaks to their parents or guardians because of extreme differences in their political beliefs. Often times, this occurs because the individual is almost constantly having disagreements with their parents and or guardians, who don’t respect their views and put them down constantly because of their views, over various issues, which politics is frequently brought up, to the point where it is having a significant negative impact on their health and wellbeing. So, in order to improve their health, social and political freedom, and overall wellbeing, they wind up moving out as soon as they possibly can; often times to a place that is far away from their original home.
Angelia moved to Seattle, Washington to avoid constantly having to deal with her parent’s extreme political views. She is a political runaway.
