Rock music movement which transends genre and encapsulates an attitude including unparalelled male bravado and positive machismo. In order to be considered man-pop, there are three criteria: 1. Said song must move the listener to be filled with "male pride" and a sense of belonging to a positive male future/environment. 2. Man-pop song should encourage the positive and rythmic pumping of clenched fist. 3. Man-pop song should compfortably be played or sung at locations and environments which encourage or are filled with male comraderie and behaviour, i.e. inside of locker rooms, inside automobiles, keg parties, sports bars etc.
Best examples of "Man-pop" artists include: Creed, 3 Doors Down, Nickelback.
Subcatagories include: Alterna-Man-Pop (Live, Stone Temple Pilots), Metal-Man-Pop (Disturbed, Ozzy, Staind), Lite-Man-Pop (Matchbox20, Semisonic, Vertical Horizon), Modern-Man-Pop (Nickelback, Creed), and Classic-Man-Pop (Lynrd Skynrd, Grand Funk Railroad, Foghat, Kiss, AC/DC).

A modern version of "Take this job and shove it!!". A perpetrater gets utterly fed up with his or her job and quits in a spectacular style.
Flight attendant Steve: These passengers are barbaric, I can't take it anymore!
Flight attendant Sarah: What are you going to do?
Flight attendant Steve: I'm outta here. I'm going to grab two beers, POP A SLIDE, and run off across the taxiway.
Flight attendant Sarah: Nice.

heavy - a premise of deep understanding; of concrete truth
pop - to present something in a way that doesn't alienate or
discriminate, that is easily accessible, understandable.
HEAVY POP - a universally accessible expression of deep understanding, of un-adulterated truth.
