Culture Vulture

Culture Vulture: A term describing individuals who, out of a desire to fit in, adopt and mimic popular cultural trends or identities. It’s a form of social camouflage, where people blend into various subcultures—like hipster, goth, emo, or religious groups—or even adopt political stances, such as far-right or far-left ideologies, and even certain sexualities, just to fit in. They might change their appearance, behavior, or even support causes and identities they don’t genuinely believe in, all for the sake of safety in numbers and acceptance.
Lee: Frank, guess what, bruv? I’m the team leader of the show bar now! I’m gonna get bear pussy now, bruv, I’m the top dog now bruv! LOL.

Frank: Sick, bruv! LOL.

Lee: And that melt Gary from the family bar tried mugging me off bruv. No chance, bruv. He’s got that emo haircut — he's just riding trends. He doesn’t even like the music, bruv! LOL. Hes a proper melt, bruv, a full-on culture vulture! LOL.

Frank: Init, bruv LOL.

Pop Culture Vulture

Pop Culture Vulture: A playful term for individuals who avidly follow and emulate pop culture trends. They often dress like their favorite pop stars, immerse themselves in the latest music, and imitate dramatic behaviors from movies, such as gangster film tropes or drug use. This can lead them into trouble, including risky behavior, legal consequences, or even harmful situations. It highlights the sometimes extreme and imitative engagement with pop culture.
Lee: Have you seen Dan at work? He blasts out heavy metal, dresses like a rock star, and looks like a total melt, bruv. He can’t sing or play anything!
Frank: Yeah, he's a proper pop culture vulture, that one! What a muppet, bruv LOL.
Lee: Init bruv LOL.

Cultural Marxism

Cultural Marxism is an ideological adaptation of Marxist principles, shifting the focus from economic class struggle to cultural and social issues. Instead of emphasizing conflict between the rich and the working class, it applies Marxist critique to identity, traditions, and societal norms, seeking to deconstruct established hierarchies in areas such as race, gender, family, and religion. Under the guise of "progressive values" and egalitarianism, it promotes social restructuring by challenging traditional institutions and cultural foundations, often portraying them as oppressive systems that must be dismantled for the sake of so-called progress.

A culture where speech is heavily policed and saying the wrong thing will get you thrown in jail.
The year is 2077. Location: Germany. Landmine culture has become so prevalent that insults are banned. Even the slightest hint that you made someone uncomfortable will see you behind bars. Never mind calling someone a dick, you can't even call someone a banana. They've banned that too.

The current tendency to denunce "powerful" men, especially in the art industry, instigated by the metoo movement.
With all the actors accused, notably currently in France, we are witnessing the birth of a real "denunciation culture", much more substantial, this one, than the so-called "rape culture".
