A name for super cool nieces and daughters. The name implies a penchant for heavy metal music. Black Label Society would be at the top of the list for outfits to wear. It is also misspelled on microsoft word to help promote confusion about the origin of the name. In the dark ages, Tristyn would have been born in the land of Tristania to a mother named Tania. To pull a 'Tristyn' in modern times would be to let out a horrific scream followed by incessant yelling and a defensive mechanism of ungodly stink to ward off any evil doers and nay sayers.
