Iliya

A really f*cking hilarious guy who also laughs/grins at my jokes even if they're unfunny. Is a literal genius -- no question goes unanswered if he's around. But even more impressive is his dedication (he swears by resting his head on the table... it almost looks like he's napping, very cute). Is scared of spiders (me too) and sleeps with the door locked + covers tucked under his feet (not me + me too).
I couldn't think of a nickname for him, so he'll just be Iliya to me !

iliad

Everyone's definition of Iliad here on UD is Whack (cept for maybe munkee's). First of all, a poem doesn't have to rhyme (dumbass).

The word Iliad roughly translates to Troy.
The epic poem Iliad was supposedly written by a man named Homer, who may or may not have existed.

Iliad

Greek epic poem by Homer; widely considered the first work in Western literature. Tells the story of a small period of time during the Trojan War, focusing mainly on the character Achilles.

The original Greek version was spoken in rhythm to a lyre by a traveling musician-writer known as a rhapsode, not unlike a modern rapper. In fact, the term rapper comes from the word rhapsode.

There are many English translations, many of which are in the form of prose rather than poetry.

It is a very slow-moving story, regardless of translation, mostly because half of it is spent shouting out the names of hundreds of different Greeks and Trojans who died during the war, due to the fact that it would have been recited for Greek aristocrats who believed they had ancestry from that period.
Student 1: My English teacher's making me read the Iliad.
Student 2: Bummer, dude!

Homer: Thus ended Erophobus of Lesbos. Holla!
Greek Nobleman: Dude! He was totally my great-great-uncle!

iliganon

The term used to call people who live in Iligan City. Iligan City is a city in the island of Mindanao, Philippines. Most Iliganons speak Cebuano (the same language spoken by the majority of people from the islands of Mindanao and Visayas, hence also called Bisaya.) However, despite this, there are a lot of differences between Iliganons compared to other people living in Mindanao. Most Iliganons are tisoy, gwapo and gwapa, not much are observed from other neighboring cities in Mindanao. Even so, the Iliganons try their best to mingle with their neighbors. Iliganons usually enjoy summer at beach resorts, specially one at Bukana Beach at Fuentes. A lot of tourists spend their time there, it is also a beautiful beach to find some chicos, and chicas. You'll find Iliganons smart, kind and good looking.
Girl 1: I met a guy from the Philippines he was so smart and he even treated me lunch. He was such a great guy.

Girl 2: He's probably Iliganon. Lucky for you.
