An act of cuddling, or snuggling where a male and female get together and lay back to chest with bent knees and legs to where they fit together like spoons.

Lying on a bed, couch, etc, usually with the guy lying behind the girl. Often a means of trying to arouse the girl without being too blatant, on the off-chance that spooning leads to forking.

Dance Floor Spooning

Also called spoondancing or spoongrinding. Goes beyond grinding. When a girl's ass is against a guy's crotch and instead of her shaking her ass and him either standing and enjoying it or shaking his crotch around, they move together like they are glued. The guy's crotch is pivoted upward and forward on the girl's ass so it looks like they are spooning/banging on the dance floor. Usually happens at school dances between couples. Makes everyone uncomfortable.

"Dude, Ally and Michael were dance floor spooning all night. I was like, get a room, creepers, you look like wild animals on a full moon."
