To get fired, to completely fail, to get kicked out, or to get ejected from an event. Goes back to “clearing out your desk” phrase managers would say in the 80’s cubicle farms, where the fired employee would be given a milk crate to empty out their office deck stuff into, and be escorted out by a security guard from the job, taking only their office desk stuff in a milk crate with them.

Cratefallen must be falling down a crate staircase instead of getting kicked down a real one by your older brother the way you did as a kid, thinking you will get a reputation you never got as a kid by doing so.

The dork thought falling down a crate staircase would impress a few people around or make them laugh, but it wasn't long before they realized she wasn't really funny or impressive to be around, she just wanted someone's attention besides her own.

A crate is kind of like a tin pail, there's not a whole lot interesting about it.

The dork thought that everybody did everything they did in life for a reputation, because she didn't get why they might really do what they were doing. So she stacked a bunch of crates into a staircase and fell down hoping a few people would notice. Yay, how exciting and colorful is she to take to parties!
