Text Evasion

When you text someone to ask them a question that you need a response to, but they don't text you back and never give you an answer or a reason.

Guy 1: Dude, I texted Greg to see if he could give us the tickets for the concert, but he never texted me back.

Guy 2: That is total text evasion.

textay

An exorbitantly long text that, on one's phone, almost resembles an essay. Something that the person probably should have just called you and talked to you or left you a voicemail for. Textays usually go off on tangents and ignore the original topic at hand.

Chick, via text: hey how's it going :) i went to the supermarket ystrday and i was thinking of youuu i saw these cantaloupes and their skin had the most bumpy texture just like your hands after you were carrying the furniture upstairsss like who even knew someones skin could turn out like that?? i dont know?? haha we'll see after i go to med school though and i can diagnose everyone like it's nobody's business.. xxxoxxo ;))
Dude to friend: Wow, all I asked her was if she wanted to go to the hockey game... She sent me back a whole textay.
Friend: Maybe you should grade that shit.

Someone (that you may or may not know) that texts you trying to find out more about you. Often with people that you just met.

Guy 2: Soo...?
Guy 1: His sister and her friend now have my number and thier text stalking me.
Guy 2: haha... man it sucks to be you

"I think Brian is having a bad day, he's not as textative as he usually is."

Text-Slap

The act of copying a large block of text, often something with dense academic language, such as college papers, and pasting it into a chat function, often without provocation.

Steve: We sought to extend instrument validation research for the Systematic Screening for Behavior Disorders (SSBD) (Walker & Severson, 1990) using convergent validation techniques. Associations between Critical Events, Adaptive Behavior, and Maladaptive Behavior indices of the SSBD were examined in relation to syndrome, broadband, and total scores of the Achenbach Child Behavior Checklist-Teacher's Report Form (TRF) (Achenbach, 2001). Both measures were conducted with 65 students with emotional disturbance in grades 6 through 12. Overall convergent validity of the SSBD and TRF was strong, particularly for TRF externalizing problems and associated syndromes. Results provide further support for use of the SSBD in the assessment of behavioral functioning of students with emotional disturbance and extend validation for use of this instrument with secondary students.
