forced difficulty

When a game developer/level designer does not fully understand how to make levels difficult in a way that is not frustrating or questionably designed, and so throws together a bunch of hazards and poorly conceived design elements in order to force the level to be hard, at the cost of good game design. Typically associated with Super Mario Maker levels.

Putting a bunch of enemies all over the place to overwhelm the player is not good level design, it's forced difficulty.

you wanna know a definition of Flore? here we go: so Flore is obviously a girl. She’s tall and her body is perfectly fine! She has straight blonde hair and ocean blue eyes. When she smiles it lights up the whole room. Her voice is like a symphony and is perfect in every way. She’s smart and very very talented. Actually the words to describe her perfection aren’t even existing so I am trying my best to describe her the way I see her. Flore is like a sunrise at the beach or the mountains with the most beautiful colours you can imagine. She’s like your favorite song which you are listening to the whole day on repeat. She’s like your favorite book and even tho you know every page the story is still beautiful. She’s like a bottle of water after a long and hot summer day. She’s the one flower in a field of flowers you would pick up to bring it to your one true love. She’s perfection. If Flore is your friend or (if you are extremely lucky) your girlfriend, you are the luckiest person on earth because even if i have never kissed her i know she’s the best kisser and lover on her own beautiful way. She’s not always easy but she deserves the deepest and purest love so please be kind to her <3

Forced Diversity

A term used when major companies change the race, sexuality or gender of characters in already established IP’s, or in historical events, of which are decades old and is unnecessary, and (usually) do not add any value to the material.

Almost always changing white characters to black, straight characters to gay characters, or gender swapping characters.

Never used in a genuine inclusive way as presented and almost always used to put more money in the pockets of large businesses by attempting to appeal to the “woke” demographic. Sometimes changes the entire point of the original story or the outcome of a historical event in an attempt to further appeal to the “woke” audience.

When this term is brought up, “woke” people will often call you racist, sexist, misogynistic, homophobic, or transphobic.

Business 1: “let’s make a movie about Thomas Edison but he’s black and a girl, and let’s change the lesson of the story to be about women’s empowerment.”

“Woke” viewers: “This is amazing and absolutely the right decision to make! 10/10 movie.”

Business 2: “Let’s make a movie about Martin Luther King Jr. but let’s make him white and make the lesson of the movie about men’s mental health.”

“Woke” viewers: “You can’t do that! You are racist and misogynistic!”

Person 1: “I don’t like that they made Ariel from The Little Mermaid black, it was unnecessary and seems like forced diversity to me.”

“Woke” person 2: “You are racist for not liking the fact that she is black, I am going to cancel you on Twitter!”
