Radio-Hand

A person who doesn't actually do anything at work. But when they talk on the radio, they act like they did everything and then takes all the credit.

A person that is lazy but when they finally do something, they have to announce it over the radio. So everyone can hear what they did.

(Used in any business where the employees talk over a two-way radio.)
Boss: We went ahead and got everything done.

Employee 1: God!, I don't know why he is saying "we". He didn't do anything.

Employee 2: Man, you know he is just a radio-hand.

Employee 1: I know, he just sits in front of his laptop all day watching movies.

talk to the hand

"Talk to the hand," sometimes uttered while holding out the hand palm up, is short for the phrase "Talk to the hand because the face isn't listening." It has the same intent as saying, "Don't waste your time with excuses, I don't want to hear about it."
When the employee was late for work and offered an excuse to his boss, the boss shot back, "Talk to the hand," and walked away.

Ball in Hand

In various types of pocket billiards (pool), "ball in hand" refers to a player's right to place the cue ball anywhere on the table. Getting "ball in hand" means that the opposing player (the offending player) committed a foul, an example being a table scratch.
"Ball in hand," he yelled, throwing the cue ball sheepishly on the table after fouling.
