Brooklynge

Brooklynge is suburb called Björklinge which is situated 15 miles north of the Swedish town Uppsala. The name itself is a word play on the New York borough Brooklyn. Since many of the inhabitants of Björklinge/Brooklynge listen to hip hop artists that come from Brooklyn or have some sort of connection to the borough, the suburb has turned into a reflection of this New York borough. It is mainly the younger generation that has accepted and embraced the new name.
