When you exit a dark place (typically inebriated) and it is bright outside. Your head lurches back and you close your eyes due to the sun's brightness on your unprepared eyes...just like when an adult film star takes a load in the face.

We were slamming beers in Pete's basement and decided to throw some horse shoes outside. When we opened the door we caught sun loads that would make Peter North jealous.
