Grandmaster

A chess player of the highest caliber and greatest skill. Only the strongest of professional chess players, typically having a FIDE rating of 2600 and above. A vary prestigious and rare occurrence, only 400 or so living in the world. The United States Champion would be a Grandmaster.

The state champion at age 13, Daniel was touted as a possible future Grandmaster.

He beat everyone in the city with ease, but was demolished when he finally played a real Grandmaster.
