Mujaddid Complex

An unjustified feeling of superiority over traditional Islamic scholarship, coupled with a drive to create a revolution in Islamic understanding. Often driven by ignorance, arrogance, and certification from prestigious Western institutes.

It’s derived from the word mujaddid.

The term came in to use after the release of 2009 Malayalam movie "Pranchiyettan and the Saint", where the central character, the super rich Francis alias Pranchiyettan does anything to get attention.
