Guys often refer to a good looking girl as a "dime", meaning the girl is a perfect 10 because there's 10 cents in a dime. So, you call a busted fat girl who's half as good looking and twice as big a Buffalo Nickel.

buffalo

a city in western new york that used to be fairly decent. now it's mostly made up of ghettos, and closed down or extremely old rotting buildings. in the really bad ghettos you'll see VERY interesting people. the hsbc arena (where a lot of the huge local concerts/sports games here take place) is mostly surrounded by TONS of huge hideous factories (like the "ho oats" factory) that look as if they've been closed for 50 years(and they probably have been). but the hsbc arena itself is really nice. in buffalo you're likely to see some really nice places smack dab in the middle of the worst shithole. western new york is also the only fucking place in the country where you can get sunburnt AND frostbitten within a 3-day period. people used to be able to get jobs no matter what, but now most people are forced to work in shitty chemical factories (or some sort of factory that's actually OPEN) while still shitloads of people are being laid off every day. niagara falls is obviously really close to buffalo, and it isn't much better, but in the outskirts there's a lot less ghettos.

yesterday when i was driving home from work i saw a man in an orange radiation suit pushing a shopping cart down the sidewalk talking to himself.

oak bluffs

Oak Bluffs is the summer hotspot in Martha's Vineyard. Houses are all well over 2 million dollars ecspecially on the water. If you are going to live in Oak Bluffs for the summer, buy a house on Ocean Park. Most kids come from Connecticut, New York or the Boston area to spend their summers, working at an icecream parlor or just to chill at the beach. The summer kids drive their summer cars, which are early model Range Rovers, Jeep Wranglers or Land Rovers. Oak Bluffs is the most relaxed town on the island and best for kids, while Edgartown is more of a place for adults and Vineyard Haven is full of year-round people. Martha's Vineyard in general is the perfect place to live in the summer, just not year round. Martha's Vineyard has nothing to do with Nantucket except for the fact that it's a summer island and MV is not built up like Nantucket; therefore a lot nicer and more expensive.

Kid 1: Hey, you have a house in MV.
Kid 2: Yeah, Oak Bluffs
Kid 1: Lucky, do you live there year round.
Kid 2: Uhm, no, just summer
