Rink Rabies is a disease that affects ultra-competitive hockey parents of youth recreational players who have NHL dreams for their averaged-skilled child. People with rink rabies are known to jump teams, constantly looking for the best winning team. This new team is rarely better than the old one for the mere fact that it is a team and can't just revolve around the ego of one player.
Don't get too close to that new family on our hockey team. They've got a serious case of rink rabies and probably won't be around after one season.
