Dying Whale Noises

When one is so overcome with emotion that he or she makes a noise akin to a whale getting stabbed through with a hot poker and dragged several miles by a racing speedboat before getting forcibly beached onto a remote island where the beach has sharp, pointy rocks instead of sand.

Alternatively defined as: Regular whale noises amplified in a sobbing manner by an emotionally compromised human being.

Slang term for hobbyists and profesionals in the audio engineering field. Specifically as applied to hobbyists that build their own speaker systems, amplifiers, or in extreme cases entire home-theater system setups.

A condition afflicting people who are sensitive to sound. People who suffer from noise aversion become very uncomfortable, physically and/or mentally, when in the vicinity of noise which may be tolerable to the vast majority of others.

Noise-Runner

Derived from Noise; adj.: A person who is so good at bringing noise to situations that his noise can be heard from light-years away. Not to be confused with a Noise-Walker, a weak Noise-Runner who thinks he/she runs more noise then he/she actually does. A Noise-Runner can recite any Mike Tyson quote off the top of their head with little or no hesitation. A Noise-Runner goes out to parties with full intentions of bringing as much noise as possible. One way they achieve this is by shotgunning 3 beers upon entry of a new noisehold (household where noise occurs) before acknowledging anyones existence within the noise. In short, it is a very noisey person.
