laptop plop

A term origination in Brisbane, Australia, 'laptop plop' describes the action of going to the toilet while using a laptop. In many countries acknowledgment of the action has been ignored or outlawed, however in Germany it has become a popular term used among university students. It has characterized an entire generation of students who although enjoy the privacy of a toilet visit, don't allow the 'down time' (excuse the pun) of falling behind in their studies. In Germany it is know as a 'computer defäkieren sie' or more commonly 'laptopscheiße'.

english; "oh boy, I don't want to fall behind on this assignment, but I need to do a poo. I think I'll just do a laptop plop then I can keep working on my assignment in the provacy of the toilet".

german; "Eine Laptopscheiße ist der beste Weg, Zeit als ein Universitätsstudent zu sparen".

Laptop sex

A laptop on top of another when it shouldn't be.

For example, when u r at the airport traveling with more than 1 laptop and u r going through security, the TSA scolds u for putting them one on top of the other. Those laptops were caught in the act having laptop sex!

This term can be used more generally with other electronics too.

laptopless

With down-sizing and everyone doing double-duty, most people can't afford to go without their computers for even an hour in an office setting. Even in meetings where people are supposed to focus on the task at hand, they are doing other work on their laptops while the meeting is going on. This usually means less attention and focus in the meeting. Going into a meeting without your laptop is going "laptopless"

Kevin's new year's resolution is to go laptopless to meetings so that he can focus on what the boss is saying.
