When you no longer see a person irl but you're still friends on Facebook and might even occasionally interact.

Person 1: "I saw Sarah today, did you go to her babyshower?"
Person 2: "Sarah from high school? No we're Facebook formal, I saw pictures though."

Covid-Formal

The newest addition to the list of dress codes for men and women during the time of Covid-19, where most people are working from home and conducting business on Zoom calls. Covid-Formal joins casual, semi-casual, business-casual, semi-formal, and formal in the dress code lexicon.

Covid-Formal consists of business-attire (button-down shirt/tie/jacket for men and button-down shirt or blouse for women) on the torso, and lounge-wear (pajama pants, gym shorts, etc.) on the bottom.

Drew joined in on his daily work Zoom call from home, but didn't have the webcam angled just right, revealing his Covid-Formal dress code of suit and tie with gym shorts, to all of his co-workers.

Darwin formal

Darwin Formal is a semi-formal dress code for evening events held in the Northern Territory, Australia, originating in Territorian conventions for attire in the 19th century. The dress code is by its principal element, which is no flip flops (or thongs, as they are referred to as in Australia).

Is Michael Caine wearing Darwin Formal? While he is wearing a polyester tie, his boat shoes mean he is indeed wearing Darwin Formal.
