carpet farting

A carpet farting is where you release a stream of short, fast, bursting farts while you're running or walking. The name is a variant from United States Armed Forces term "Carpet Bombing". A carpet bombing is where an aircraft drops a large number of bombs so as to cause a uniform of devastation over a given area. The phrase is probably intended to invoke the image of bombs completely covering an area, like a carpet; carpet farting is basically the same concept.

The Process whereby the smell of one fart lasts until the release of the next fart. This effect can be achieved through a rapid succession of weaker farts or the expulsion of an highly pungent fart.

Farting like a trooper

The phenomenon of having large amounts of methane build up, usually after a big night of drinking “Tooheys New” (an Aussy beer) causing one to repeatedly let out sizable farts, usually of an excessively pungent nature. One should be careful not to “follow through” the fart and begin “Sharting like a trooper”

farting against thunder

To attempt something which, in the face of a massive adversary is equivalent to trying to drown out a thunderstorm with a feeble fart. Can also be used as an exaggerated way of describing how one's attempts at 'getting the message across' to an individual or party were met with a overpowering sense of hopelessness and futility. Often out of pure frustratrion.

Trying to speak to the manager about my complaint was useless. All she did was talk-talk and not listen. I might as well have been farting against thunder!
