Internet Debate

A debate or discussion on the Internet between members of a community. Its where a person creates a thread to ask other peoples opinions on a subject. From as mundane as Cupcakes or Muffins or to more serious discussions such as abortion. People who partake are often called to defend their stance.

The Zelda Universe forum was full of Internet Debates ranging from whose the most innocent video game character to Is Obama doing the right thing.

YouTube debate

n. Possibly the most pointless, irrational form of debate on the Internet today, a YouTube debate is when two or more people get into an argument via the comments section on YouTube. The topics may include politics, Megadeth vs. Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber, the paranormal, how VEVO sucks, or perhaps most laughably, gang affiliations. As with your average forum fighter, those who start (or engage in) these debates are often just trolls, but some actually take them seriously, to the point of getting emotional. Also, they generally contain numerous spelling and grammar errors.

A club that colleges love , but most people hate. Speech and Debaters are classified as geeks, but really they just know what they want- a career. And usually the people that look down upon speech and debate are the retards that are going to be pumping gas in four years anyway - so it doesn't matter

public forum debate

Public forum debate consists of two teams of two debaters each. It is a fight to the death in which debaters are readied with their sharp tongues and quick wits, ready to engage in a verbal gladiator match. While Policy debaters laugh at Public Forum, a truly godly Public Forum debater can still anal anyone. Most PF debaters are douchebags, and the top debaters who recieve TOC bids on a daily basis are cocky, self-righteous dicks.

While all this is happening, there is a judge presiding over the match and deciding who the winner is. Once the judge sees the who should win the debate, their nefarious minds twist evilly and they then turn the verdict around and screw over the team that should win. Their bias shines proudly as they watch the team that should have won walk away with glum faces and sore asses.

I watched as the Public Forum debate went down.

Two teams were at it hard, fast, long, and furious. They danced around with fancy terminology and gained pleasure from turning another team's blocks.

The judge felt bad for the team that lost so she basically ran a sympathy kritik and gave them the win instead.
