Techniques may include exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, or sensationalism. Sensationalism is what clickbait is.
"THIS WILL CHANGE YOUR EYE COLOR..." is a title that is misleading clickbait. "Top 10 <whatevers> that exist in real life!' is clickbait that may include Pokemon as a object. Pokemon are not real, hence the title is misleading.

The lying informs that something has been done on the video, but that "something" is not even there. This is often used on YouTube and other social media. The word's name explains the whole definition.
