Hero Tax

When a member of an emergency service (Fire, Police, EMS) gets a photo or quote on TV or in a newspaper, they pay the "hero tax" to their coworkers. generally coffee/donuts brought to the station.

Hey Harley, this you in the paper? looks like you, Mr hero over here, did you really have to flex for the camera? Looks like someone owes a hero tax!

If I volunteer to occasionally work on da DOE road-crew, practice abstinence, and can prove my UK-area ancestry, could I be relieved of paying pole tax?
