When you are smoking a blunt/ joint,

when puffing said items, the smoke on the lit end abrasively hovers in and around your eyes thus temporarily causing teary eyes, stinging and/ or involuntary eye closing/ rubbing .

i had the blunt in my lips, i was reading and I tear gassed my self so badly, i had to close and rub my eyes to make the stinging and tears stop.
