it's a more a less 'rude' word used in the way Cracker and the 'N' word would be to describe a Straight person by a Gay or Lesbian person because strait people are complete pricks and very dangerous to gays and Lesbians

Straight a person to be sexually attracted to the opposite gender
Edge the end of a section, often sharp and dangerous. >other uses: edge of a building *dangerous to fall off of*

strait guy: "don't act like being gay is normal you fuck, gays have to stand out and be weirdos to everyone"
gay guy: "you probably never even tried have sex with another dude. don't be all high and mighty you straight edge! we are just as normal as everyone else"
