Classical Relativism

The foundational form of relativism, originating with the Sophists in ancient Greece and revived in various forms throughout Western philosophy. Classical Relativism argues that truth, knowledge, and values are relative to individuals, cultures, or contexts—that there is no universal standard by which all claims can be judged. Protagoras's famous dictum—"man is the measure of all things"—captures the classical spirit. Classical Relativism was a challenge to absolute claims, a weapon against dogma, a defense of diversity. It remains the source from which all later relativisms flow.

Example: "He read Protagoras and felt the shock of the new: truth relative to the knower, values relative to the culture, no view from nowhere. Classical Relativism was ancient but not dated—it spoke directly to his experience of a world where people saw things so differently. The questions were old; the relevance was new."

classic case

"Classic case" is a term used to describe an obvious or typical example of a phenomenon, situation, or trend, often highlighting similarities between two or more subjects. In the context of films, it refers to instances where two movies share notable similarities in themes, release dates, or concepts, making them representative examples of "twin films".

The Indonesian movie similar to Ant-Man: Quantumania where both movies came out on February 2023, is a classic case of twin films.

Classic Minecraft Day

On this day, if you play Minecraft, you are encouraged to revisit an old Minecraft version, change your skin to the one you had back in 2015, play legacy console edition or even just turn on programmer art, as to commemorate the historical past of the game

It is celebrated on December 18, 1 day after the game was released back in 2011. Can also be extended up to 2 weeks (also see: two week Minecraft phase).

Wimbledon Classic

When one farts in a tennis can over a period of time, saving up the gas to form a deadly release of intestinal toxins to share with whom ever a person reisdes with once that person has passed out/ fallen asleep. Particularly effective with small children who have a tendancy cry as a result of the experience but is nevertheless, hillarious.

I went to Taco Bell for lunch and then I pulled a Wimbledon Classic on my five year old.

Heritage Classic Drunk

1) A state of being/mind involved when attending the 2011 Heritage Classic, (a premier outdoor NHL hockey event) but may transcend into all social events.

2) The pinnacle of inebriation.

I've never seen a guy eat a paper plate before. He was Heritage Classic drunk.
