could also refer to general insane takes on social media, like the way Tyler, the Creator would post irredeemable takes to twitter back in the day. but in this instance it likely wasn't some sort of episode he was having, its probably just how bro was at the time.

i stopped liking him so much after i found out about all the kanye posting he did online.

You would 'Look at the pasties' when the laughter being seen would be damaging.

Tom and Jen played a prank on Dad by putting a joke ticket on his car, but had to hide their laughter as he approached by looking at the pasties.
